Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico in a family who was devoted to music. Growing up she was influenced by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the classic romantic, ranchero, and romance ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos and operas as well as other dramatic shows. Ana began to learn how to sing and play music at an early age together with her mom. She was given more formal singing instruction at the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She continued her musical training through the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In her early career, she saw her perform with many chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara. Following her move in America in the year 2000, she joined the United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her home in southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. In addition to being an active performer as well as an instructor, her love of arts and music keeps her engaged in a wide range of different projects. Ana is a previous part of the Community Chorus of Redlands (as as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to be able bring to others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can help younger generations continue the tradition.
