Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig, September 21 in 1983. She is an American actor best known for her character Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. Her parents had divorced and they moved together with their mother into Los Angeles. In the midst of financial hardship, she got her first role as the title character in the online video series Rachel's Room in the year 2001. The TV film Murder in Greenwich where she played 15-years-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination of a Young Artist Award. In 2004 Grace was chosen to play Shannon Rutherford in the television series Lost on which she acted as a principal cast member for the first two seasons, and was awarded an Screen Actors Guild Award shared by the entire cast.
